Whether you have a extra room dedicated to guests or borrowing a child's room for your guest, you can always make your guest feel pampered. Here are some great tips to make your guests feel like they're staying at a five star hotel:

Buy fresh bedding. Don't make your guests use old and worn out bedding. Buy fresh bedding specifically to use for guests. Maybe the mattress isn't new but you can add a nice mattress topper to give it new life again. And offer your guests options. Have several pillow options to suit their pillow preference and extra blankets nearby.

Just like using guest specific bedding, having new clean towels is also a nice touch. Who doesn't love the feel of new fluffy towels? Purchasing a few extra towels for guest use only will make them feel extra special. Want to take it one step further? Buy a spa robe as well! You can one in all price points on Amazon.

And speaking of extra, keep extras on hand. Extra toothbrush, deodorant, lotion, shampoo, contact solution, etc. Those smaller items that your guest may have forgotten to pack. You can have them in an apothecary jar in the room so your guests can grab them as they need. Does anyone else love to shop the travel section at Target? Or add a few airplane bottles of alcohol from Dierbergs. Everything is cuter mini sized.

Don't forget the drinks and snacks! If you really want to go all out, you can put a coffee pot in your guest room. That way your guests can enjoy coffee/tea in their room before joining the household in the morning or spend some quiet time in the afternoon by themselves. Water and snacks will also help to make your guests feel taken care of and more at home.

Have a place for their things. You might not be able to dedicate a whole closet for your guests, but you can offer them a space to put their things. Whether that's a bench for their luggage, a cleared area in the closet, a few drawers in the nightstand or dresser, or a clothes rack. It's nice for your guest to be able to unpack.

Lastly, it's all in the details. You can leave a personalized note with things they might need like your WiFi password, good restaurants nearby, and an invitation to make themselves at home with regards to the kitchen, TV, etc. You can even add some magazines, writing paper, board games, and a few books.

Your guests will be so blown away with your attention to detail that they may extend their stay!
