If you're considering your next vacation destination, you might look right here in your own backyard. Missouri has great vacation spots to choose from:

Wine Country: Are you looking for a couple's getaway? Check out Defiance, Augusta, or Hermann. With so many great wineries to choose from and Bed & Breakfast options, you're sure to have a wonderful time! You will want to plan ahead. The bed & breakfast locations can fill up quickly so start planning now. If you go to Mount Pleasant Estates in Augusta, ask them to do the Norton glass trick. The taste difference will blow your mind.

Branson: Branson has fun for all age groups and interests and is much more than just the gimmicky strip. Top of the Rock and Big Cedar Lodge have beautiful hiking trails, horseback riding, fishing, boating, a golf course, and more! Silver Dollar City has a ton of rides and shops with great handmade gifts. The strip will keep you entertained on a rainy day between the Butterfly House, arcades, shows, museums, and more. Branson Landing has restaurants and shopping and overlooks Lake Taneycomo. Or visit a nearby town like Eureka Springs or Springfield.

St. Louis has so much to offer! The City Museum is fun for all age group kids.Ā  You might check out The Fountain on Locust to eat afterwards; it has good food, but it's the desserts you don't want to skip. Union Station has the aquarium, Ferris Wheel, and a ropes course. The Soda Fountain would be a great place to eat if you have a serious sweet tooth, but it fills up quickly so put your name in early. Forest Park offers the zoo, Art Museum, beautiful scenery, golf course, the Muny, the History Museum, and so much more. Soulard has a great farmer's market. If you're in the mood for Italian, you can't go wrong with The Hill. Tower Grove also has the Botanical Gardens which is always beautiful. And St. Louis is known for the Arch! Travel to the top and then explore the arch grounds. You could easily make a whole week's vacation around St. Louis and all it has to offer.

Looking to get away from the hustle of it all? Klondike Park is right around the corner and offers beautiful surroundings for camping, fishing, hiking, paddle board rental, and more! Or just need a day trip? How about visiting Long Row Lavender in Wright City, Valley Farms, Big Joel's Safari, or historic downtown St. Charles. Missouri has so much to offer and you don't have to look very far to find it!
